The 2026 Global Week for Action on NCDs, running from 31 August to 4 September, is being commemorated under the theme “Leadership in Focus: From Commitment to Delivery.”
Non-communicable diseases, including cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and chronic respiratory diseases, affect individuals, families, communities and health systems.
CWGH joins the call for leadership that goes beyond commitments to deliver action, investment and accountability. Zimbabwe must translate its commitments into tangible progress in preventing and addressing NCDs and protecting the health and wellbeing of its people.
The time for commitment is not enough. It is time for delivery.
